Holiday spirit
Posted October 27th, 2008 by David FairI saw my first snow flurries of the year! Not enough to accumulate, mind you. Just a few wispy snowflakes.
It was a brisk morning, hovering around freezing, so I decided to enjoy it by walking to the store rather than driving. I bundled up in a warm jacket, mitts, and a gorgeous scarf that my mom made for me. I could see Lake Superior glistening in the morning light and the last vestiges of fall foliage clinging to a few scattered trees. Here and there, frozen puddles hid from the sun. I could hear children playing during their morning recess. And then it happened. Feathery white specks began drifting around me. It was quite magical.
Now, at home with my apple cinnamon candle scenting the air, hot cup o’ tea in hand, and the windows clouded with condensation, I feel the first hint of the approaching holiday season. Ahhh. It’s the good life.
I must apologize to anyone who visited The Good Life blog using Internet Explorer over the past few days. There was a programmatic glitch in the last post that caused the right navigation pane to “disappear” and, in some cases, even prevented the page from loading. I believe this has now been corrected.
If ever you experience any technical difficulties with this site, please contact me at info@davidfair.me. For your convenience, you may also use this contact form (provided the website isn’t completely down, of course).
Thank you for joining me here at The Good Life. I’ve received several requests for more photos of Grand Marais, Minnesota. I hope to fulfill those requests in the near future as I begin exercising my fledgling photography skills.
What other requests might you have for The Good Life blog?

How about some pictures of your house, (inside and out) the hospital, churches, etc.

Good suggestion. Will do!
I don’t have a camera just yet, but wait till I do… You may get sick of all the pictures and resources I post after that.
