Christmas 2008
Posted December 27th, 2008 by David Fair
I experienced a white Christmas for the first time in my memory! (I spent the first couple years of my life in Missouri, so I must have known snow at a young age. Doesn’t count if you can’t remember it.) Christmas is lovely in Minnesota!
My family gave me a Canon PowerShot SX110IS digital camera, so now I can capture the beauty of northern Minnesota to share with everyone.
My Mom made this fantastic afghan for me. It measures 8′ long by 4′ wide, and it weighs an astonishing 8 pounds! Needless to say, it is thick and heavy, and it definitely keeps you warm.
Warmth was the theme of this Christmas. I think everyone was afraid I’d freeze to death in the wilds of Minnesota.
All the cold weather gear is greatly appreciated, and it will certainly be put to good use! We’ve already had several days well below zero. Here are some of my Christmas gifts.
Here’s a photo of my cute little house….
And here’s a shot of downtown Grand Marais. Doesn’t it look like a little Christmas village?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

It’s a bit belated… I have been sorting through my emails, attempting to clean up my inbox. The pictures are great! This is the first time I’ve seen a picture of the blanket mom made for you. It’s really cool! The pic of downtown Grand Marais is beautiful… very picturesque. I’ll look into flickr and try to get some pictures posted to share as well.
